Traditional London Wedding Venues
Reading Time: 3 minutes

Weddings and ceremonies can be held in almost any location, big or small, but a truly unique wedding reception needs a great venue with an interesting and cool theme. The decorations and choice of flowers are of course up to you, but you’ll need something different enough to suit your plans while still making a statement. That’s why we’ve hand picked seven of our more hip and inspiring venues to help you and your spouse have the most amazing and memorable day possible.

Belair House

Belair House

Belair House is a stunning Georgian mansion found in South East London that is able to host all sorts of different event types, from formal dinners to bustling parties. Being fully-licenced for weddings, you could easily have both the ceremony and reception under one roof, allowing for minimum stress and upheaval when the day comes. There are plenty of options when it comes to organising live entertainment and a good selection of cocktails on offer at the bar, which should keep everyone happy, and despite feeling peaceful, it remains well connected via West Dulwich station, just 6 minutes away.

Hackney Town Hall

Hackney Town Hall

Hackney Town Hall is complete in the ever-popular Art Deco style that makes for a suitably grand and picturesque wedding backdrop. The Assembly Hall has been sensitively restored, retaining much of the original charm and features, such as the sprung dancefloor and eye-catching 1930s chandeliers. You can either split the generous space into smaller sections via the floor-to-ceiling partitions or open up the room and enjoy it in all its glory and splendour. For those seeking a little help and guidance in bringing everything together, events management is included in the hire.

The Foundling Museum

The Foundling Museum

If you want to bring a sense of grandeur and timeless beauty to your big day then The Foundling Museum could be the perfect backdrop. This wonderful Georgian-style building is Grade II listed and offers a seamless blend of historic styling and contemporary touches in the various exhibition and meeting spaces. Situated in Bloomsbury, Central London, the venue is very well connected to the wider city, with nearby tube stations including Russell Square, Kings Cross St Pancras and Euston making it easily reached by those coming from further afield.

The Hospital Club

The Hospital Club

One of the most versatile small to mid-sized wedding reception venues on our list, The Hospital Club comfortably accommodates from 8 to 300 guests. That means you can have something small, or reasonably large, depending on what you want to do. There is restaurant on site, with lounges, bars, and even a screening room for videos. In fact, you can do just about anything here, and there’s really nothing you won’t find space for. Guests will adore the different themes and rooms, while you’ll love the fact that 120 people can be comfortably seated to dinner, while still giving you enough privacy to sneak away with your new spouse to steal a kiss or snap some shots.
