The most unusual conference venues in London
Reading Time: 3 minutes

If you’re bored of the typical, run of the mill business venues and would prefer to hold your conference somewhere a little more unusual, look no further than the following options.

Fabric

Fabric

With one of the most unique origins of any London venue, Fabric started its life as an underground cold storage area for the Smithfield Meat Market. The impressive Victorian architecture has been retained alongside the exposed brickwork and the 60ft vaulted atriums, granting plenty of atmosphere and a quintessentially British charm to the space. It is a widely adaptable and versatile venue, ideally suited for both business and pleasure, coming complete with all the equipment necessary to host all sorts of different events, as they already have.

The Yard

The Yard

If you need a big, open plan space to kit out to your own specifications then The Yard is the venue for you. This refurbished warehouse in East London is essentially a blank canvas that can be tailored to any style or purpose but does have a few touches of character to add interest. The huge ceiling height and impressive 11,000 square feet of space make The Yard feel bright, airy and spacious and allow for a great maximum capacity of 420 people per event. There is a small amount of parking available and Liverpool Street, Moorgate and Old Street tube stations are all reached within a few minutes.

The Pavilions – Mile End Park

Dalston Heights

Feeling tucked away from the hectic bustle of the city centre yet still remarkably well connected via the nearby Mile End tube station, The Pavilions – Mile End Park is found in East London, surrounded by pretty park land. The ultra-modern spaces at The Pavilions come as a blank canvas, allowing you to put your own spin on the décor, establishing the right mood for your event. Up to 260 guests can attend an event held here, enjoying the bright, spacious feel of this truly unique venue that is flooded with natural light by the impressive full-length windows.

Dalston Heights

Dalston Heights

Dalston Heights can be found on the top floor of a former cardboard box factory, right next to Hackney Downs train station and just 5 minutes from Hackney Central. It is the perfect choice if you are in search of something with a stripped back, urban feel, with the various textures and raw finish setting the scene. The spaces (which combine to make a total 7,200 square feet and allow for a total capacity of 250) come with an eclectic mix of quirky props and furnishings, which can be arranged as you so desire, while the skylights keep it bright and airy.

Everyman Cinema – Canary Wharf

Everyman Cinema

Everyman Cinema – Canary Wharf is a state-of-the-art and super stylish venue with 3 screening rooms. Each one has their now trademark comfy sofa-style seating, meaning guests can relax while they work, adding an informal and fun edge to any event. The cutting-edge projection equipment and top quality picture quality make this a wonderful choice should you have any photo or video presentations as part of your conference. As the name would suggest, Canary Wharf tube station is just a 5 minute walk away, which is sure to come in handy for you guests.
