When I was a young whipper snapper, with a head full of hair and a heart full of hope, I used to think Ministry Of Sound was the coolest place in the world. Now, 15ish years later, as man with a forehead laced with stress lines and a heart full of cholesterol, I somehow feel the exact same.  

Ministry Venues is made up of two separate spaces (about a 3-minute walk away from one another), they offer unmatched versatility and honestly there isn’t much they can’t do. Both venues are super stylish and come packed with the latest tech. They offer both inside and outside hire options with elite catering, unmatched branding opportunities, annnd they’re based in South London (🙌). Managed by an events team who are as hyper-skilled as they are lovely, it’s a partner that Canvas are thrilled to shout about and recommend for whatever event you might have lined up.   

The Ministry 

The Ministry is a converted Victorian factory, boasting x9(!) separate indoor/outdoor spaces. It’s packed with industrial charm, with many of the building’s original features still intact, Ministry has industrial grandeur. I don’t think I’ve typed the words ‘industrial grandeur’ before but here we are. With all its rooms, it can hold 400 people in total.

There’s a wall to wall 11-meter bar, bundles of natural light, transport links coming out of its ears and each space offering something slightly different to the next. It has got a blank canvas space, meeting room(s), the aforementioned bar, a lounge, a GYM, and a brand-new spanking ‘Snug’ which is an intimate, sound-insulated room… I mean come on guys leave some event spaces for everyone else, will you? 

Ministry Of Sound 

One of the GOATs of London’s music scene. A legend. 

A once disused bus garage, it retains its rugged look with exposed brick wall and steel beams. I’d put something about having a ‘modern twist’ but not sure that will quite do it justice. How about just the facts, eh? A 10-tonne, cutting edge lighting rig, gigantic LED screens and speakers that will shake you to your very core (in a good way). It can host up to 1500 people and has a 24-hour license. The branding opportunities are ridiculous. There’s also a banging 330m courtyard, so think DJs and dancing in the sun, food trucks, massive screens, the lot. Honestly, Ministry of Sound is like the big bad boss of venues that you’d get at the end of a ‘venues of London’ video game.
