Top venues to host a new year’s eve masquerade ball
Reading Time: 3 minutes

A Masquerade Ball is a fun and exciting alternative way to welcome the New Year in style, and for such a grand occasion, you’ll need to make sure you select the perfect venue.

Banking Hall

Banking HallThe sumptuous interior of Banking Hall is just screaming out to be used as the backdrop for a Ball. An ideal choice for lovers of Art Deco styling, highlights include the beautiful decorative floor and the striking marble columns that frame the impressive space, immediately bringing a sense of drama and decadence to proceedings. The vast space itself is highly adaptable and can accommodate up to 800 guests per reception, and being located just a 2 minute walk from Bank tube station, it is easily reached from throughout the rest of London.

Hellenic Centre

The Hellenic Centre is a centrally located, versatile venue found in the popular area of Marylebone. This makes it very well connected to the wider city, with both Baker Street and Bond Street tube stations just 6 and 12 minutes away respectively. The spacious interior has a good maximum capacity of around 250 and benefits from high ceilings and plenty of natural light. It has also been kept deliberately simple in its design and finish, allowing guests to put their own stamp on the décor, transforming this blank canvas into the venue of their dreams.

St John at Hackney

St John at Hackney

St John at Hackney is another great choice if you need a larger capacity, as this Grade II listed, 18th century church can hold up to a generous 1400 people. With great acoustics, it has been utilised as a popular music venue, hosting acts as wide ranging as chart toppers like Coldplay, Emeli Sande and Ed Sheeran to classical orchestras. With private grounds surrounding the church and large windows, the space feels bright and airy, and with Hackney Central station just a stone’s throw away, private parking facilities for more than 20 cars and a public car park on site, it’s convenient for those who need to travel.

Bloomsbury Ballroom

The Bloomsbury Ballroom is a gorgeous Art Deco event space, which is ideal for events that need a larger capacity, as well as an all-round sophisticated venue. It can accommodate up to 880 standing and 300 for dinner, if your masquerade ball includes dining. Located in Central London, it’s easy to get to as well. This Georgian-inspired building is situated in the well-known Bloomsbury Square, only a short walk from Goodge Street. It’s a flexible space too, and can be easily fitted to suit a corporate event or conference too.
