With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, venues will be getting snapped up fast. To help make sure you don’t miss out, we’ve compiled a list of suitably quirky choices to set you on the path to romance, all in the popular area of Shoreditch.
Whilst there are plenty of quirky venues in Shoreditch, these are just a few of our favourites for Valentine’s Day:
Whether it’s a dinner party or a club night, Trapeze has got you covered with its three levels, 2 fully-equipped kitchens and 2 sound systems. The décor is anything but reserved, with bold colours and clashing patterns at every glance bringing a sense of fun and creativity. Private areas can be hired out for groups of up to 60 people, but the maximum capacity allows for as many as 500, with the close proximity to Old Street, Shoreditch High Street and Liverpool Street stations sure to come in handy.
Right at the forefront of the ongoing craze for urban chic and industrial style venues, Dinerama is a former bullion truck yard which has been transformed into a vast, two-level 1000 capacity event space which houses some of London’s best street food traders and 6 bars, which serve everything from wine, champagne and gin spritzers to tequila slushies, cocktails and craft beers from around the world, meaning the drinks shall certainly be flowing.
Though Electricity Showrooms is a traditional pub upon first glance, through the eclectic pieces of art and other quirky details including a light up, multi-coloured dancefloor, it soon reveals itself as something much more interesting. The pub itself is found on the ground floor, whilst down in the basement you will find a slick, modern cocktail bar. There is a late licence in place lasting until 12 or 1am, a fully functioning kitchen, full catering options and a bar team available should you desire them.
Your very own private playground, The Penthouse at All Star East provides you with unlimited bowling on 3 lanes, ideal for those looking for something that will get everyone out of their seats, interacting and having fun – not to mention getting a healthy bit of competition going. There’s a private cocktail bar with its own dedicated mixologist, a delicious New York inspired menu and even karaoke for the brave amongst you, meaning you really have got everything you need for a light-hearted Valentine’s party right under one roof.
