Many people choose to go down the traditional route when it comes to wedding plans, but for many young, modern couples, the desire to find a venue that feels fresh and exciting is growing. Here are a selection of some of London’s trendiest venues to help satisfy these desires.

Jones & Sons

Jones and SonsTo kick things off with something truly unique, you could choose to celebrate your big day at Jones & Sons. It’s a very cool function room with a ton of space, perfect for wedding receptions and other celebrations. But it’s not only the fact that it’s an open plan 1100 square foot room that makes it flexible as an events venue, but also the fact the bar can be moved to anywhere in the room. Not many venues can say that. The Jones & Sons team have had a lot of experience in hosting weddings over the years, with dining space for up to 75 people.

Sager & Wilde

Sager and WildeIn the Railway Arches of Bethnal Green, you’ll find the beautiful venue that is Sager & Wilde. There are several different areas that are available to hire, all perfect for wedding receptions and celebrations: the terrace, the main restaurant and the more private Mezzanine dining room. Whether you choose to host your drinks reception in the sunshine on the terrace, keep it cosy in the main room, or hire out the whole venue, the Sager & Wilde team will do everything they can to make sure your big day is extra special.

The Roost

The Roost

This Victorian building dates back to 1863, but don’t let that fool you into thinking it’s outdated as a great venue choice. Rather, The Roost has become an eclectic, shabby-chic pub split across four floors. Beautiful original features; quirky vintage furniture; bold statement wallpapers and grand fireplaces contrast with the splashes of modern design and eye-catching props and artwork to create a cosy, inviting ambience that’s great for a trendy wedding. Large windows, French doors and a pretty planted garden area mean there is sure to be plenty of natural light on offer while the basement level can be turned into a bespoke party space to carry on the celebration into the evening.

Swan Wharf

Swan WharfSwan Wharf is another brilliantly versatile venue, with one of its biggest pluses undoubtedly being its massive capacity of over 2800. Between the plentiful indoor and outdoor areas on offer at this Victorian warehouse complex, you can enjoy a total of more than 25,000 square feet of premium event space. Located right on the edge of the River Lea, you can also marvel at beautiful views of the Olympic Park. The 2nd floor features exposed brickwork and a lovely perspective of the waterfront, while the ground floor offers an in-house bar and bistro. The spacious outdoor terrace is another excellent addition should you be lucky enough to get a sunny day for your nuptials.

Tanner Warehouse

Tanner Warehouse

Found in Bermondsey (on buzzing Bermondsey Street to be specific), Tanner Warehouse is a fabulous converted warehouse which is ideal for weddings and other celebrations. Complete with a fully-loaded bar, a cool open kitchen, delicious food, and super friend staff, it is undoubtedly a popular events space. It’s a great space that can meet all kinds of requirements and suit all kinds of wedding themes, perfect for brides and grooms on the hunt for a unique space and some creative freedom.
