On turning 13, a Jewish boy is considered old enough to be accountable and responsible for his actions. This coming of age is called Bar Mitzvah, and is honoured with a ritual ceremony in synagogue. Following the ceremony, most families celebrate the occasion with a party – with food, music, dancing and gifts. If you’re looking to organise a Bar Mitzvah party in London, we’ve put together some of the best bar mitzvah venues in London. Mazel tov!
Location: Borough
Capacity: 60 standing, 30 seated
Check it out here: Tap & Bottle
Tap & Bottle is a charismatic Grade II listed building overlooking Flat Iron Square. The first floor space Tap & Bottle Upstairs is available for exclusive hire – we love the exposed brick and big windows that fill the space with light. They’ve got a lovely little terrace as well, and is a very cool and understated space.

Capacity: 200 standing, 120 seated
Check it out here: Nobu Hotel Shoreditch
Since opening in July 2017, Nobu Hotel Shoreditch has had it’s fair share of celebrity guests, up to and including the Canvas operations team. It’s one of our favourite luxury spaces in London, with a private events space as well as the restaurant area with terrace. Plus you get to make the most of Nobu’s world class cuisine – we can heartily recommend the black cod.
Location: Canada Water

Hawker House is undoubtedly one of the coolest big capacity venues in London – so if you’ve got a long guest list but don’t want to end up somewhere corporate, this is the space for you. If you’re celebrating during the summer you can also make the most the weather (??!?!) with The Land of Bamboo – a 1000 capacity outdoor space with trampolines, sand pits and Tiki huts.

Come for the miniature train, stay for the miniature train. Is anyone else going to have a Bar Mitzvah with a miniature train? Nope. Get your guests talking with a tour on London’s retired Mail Rail – then relax, eat and celebrate in the events space. Did I mention the miniature train? All aboard!
