There’s nothing we love more than when our couples find their perfect wedding venue on Canvas. We know not everyone has a trust fund that would make Warren Buffet blush, so every year we bring you our favourite seven London venues that suit small wedding budgets. If you’re looking to organise an amazing day on the cheap, look no further; these venues are as affordable as they are memorable.

Location: Clapton
Capacity: 200 standing, 100 seated
Check it out here: Clapton Country Club
Ideal for vintage style weddings or a countryside chic theme, Clapton Country Club is a beautiful East London venue. Incredibly, it was all made from reclaimed and recycled materials. You can see it was utterly transformed right here.
Location: Bankside
Capacity: 450 standing, 150 seated
Check it out here: Tanner Warehouse
Tanner and Co, found right by London Bridge, has a super cool warehouse events space that is ideal for a quirky wedding venue. With a fully loaded bar, its own kitchen serving top-notch food, as well as lovely, friendly staff, Tanner Warehouse has everything you could want and more.

Check it out here: Country Club Trent Park
Country Club Trent Club has an impressive open space that is ideal for a wedding party of 200 seated guests, with the option of a dancefloor to dance the night away with your wedding guests. Find out more right here.
Location: Angel
Capacity: 400 standing, 140 seated
Check it out here: Islington Metalworks
Found just behind Angel station, this Northern line wonder was originally used to stable the horses that pulled the trams for London Transport. Nowadays, it’s a great North London wedding venue which is fully licensed and comes with its own catering team and kitchen to make your wedding planning a little bit easier.
Location: Holborn
Capacity: 450 standing, 75 seated
Check it out here: Conway Hall
Conway Hall is a Grade II listed building, and is well known as a landmark of London’s independent intellectual, political and cultural life. What a setting for a wedding!
Location: Bethnal Green
Capacity: 150 standing, 65 seated
Check it out here: Sager + Wilde
Sager + Wilde is a firm favourite with the whole Canvas team. Set in a railway arch and tucked in a side street near Bethnal Green station, the food never disappoints and the atmosphere is always welcoming. You can hire the whole venue for a wedding party, including the sun-trap terrace and the private room on a mezzanine. Sager + Wilde has a slightly industrial vibe, without the hassle of hiring out an empty warehouse (and your mum will still approve).
Location: Maida Vale
Capacity: 250 standing, 70 seated
Check it out here: Elgin
The first floor of the Elgin manages to feel cosy and warm whilst having capacity for 70 seated guests. The exposed brickwork, sash windows and wood furniture make for great wedding photos, too. There’s a bar on the first floor, but you can also hire the full venue to make use of the spacious ground floor room too. As pub weddings go, this is one of our favourites and offers a lot of bang for your buck.
Location: Whitechapel
Capacity: 150 standing, 100 seated
Check it out here: 4th Floor Studios
If you’re looking for more of a blank canvas venue, it’s hard to find a more convenient and practical option than 4th Floor Studios. With lots of light and white walls, it has the feel of a loft space but doesn’t come with an insane price tag. There’s also a small terrace to catch a break outside with a sweet wooden swing that is perfect for fun wedding photos.
Location: Aldgate
Capacity: 125 standing, 50 seated
Check it out here: Vout-O-Reenee’s
For anyone with a flare for the surreal, you’ll just fall in love with Vout-O-Reenee’s. It’s a truly, truly unique venue and one of London’s last real hidden gems. In the crypt of a church near Tower Bridge, most of the time Vout-O-Reenee’s is an artists members club and gallery, but they’re now available for wedding receptions to really remember.
