Creative venues for training days
Reading Time: 3 minutes

The thought of training days doesn’t always fill the hearts of staff with joy, but by choosing a creative venue that feels a world away from stagnant office blocks and planning activities that will engage and inspire, it can be a truly rewarding experience for all involved.

The Trampery

the trampery

Located in the heart of London’s technology cluster, The Trampery is housed within what was once a long-abandoned building, now given a whole new lease of life as a hub for creativity and innovation. With spaces that can accommodate meetings and functions for anywhere between 4 and 200 guests, it’s certainly flexible in its use, with expertly designed rooms providing everything you need to bring people together, including The Library, which lends itself particularly well to workshops.

Arcola Theatre

The bright and airy spaces on offer at Arcola Theatre are utilised for more than 5000 events throughout the year, with a particular focus on engaging the local community whilst remaining internationally minded at all times. Championing engaging theatre, it is ideal as a training or rehearsal space for creative endeavours and upcoming stage productions, but also plays host to conferences and all manner of other professional occasions. The venue can be found just a stone’s throw from Dalston Junction.

Hackney Marshes

Hackney Marshes is a great venue for those looking to strike an indoor-outdoor balance, with modern yet neutral meeting rooms ideal for brainstorming sessions and as break-away spaces, and an impressive 340 acres of parkland which surround the building. The main bar and terrace make the most of the wonderful views out onto said land, but why not actually head out there and get your guests working in the fresh air? Despite feeling more removed from the bustle of the city, the nearest rail link can be reached in well under 20 minutes.

Raven’s Ait

A million miles from what your guests will be expecting and surely one of the city’s most unique offerings, Raven’s Ait is in fact an island found on the River Thames, accessible only via its own private boat. Combining the very best of city centre convenience and the seclusion and tranquillity of a countryside retreat, this really is the perfect compromise between the two, with generous indoor and outdoor space that can accommodate up to 400 guests.

BAFTA 195 Piccadilly

BAFTA 195 is in fact the headquarters of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, dedicated to developing and promoting innovation in the creative arts, whilst also offering up their corporate spaces, cutting-edge technology and first-class facilities for a wide range of events, all supported by top quality service from the onsite staff. Contemporary, stylish, practical and adaptable, the possibilities here are endless. As for reaching it, the nearest tube stops are Piccadilly Circus and Green Park.
