You might not know this – but lots of pubs in the City are much quieter at the weekend than they are during the week. So if you ask really nicely, you might get a preferential rate for your wedding. Wood Street Loft is a lovely low-key pub near the Barbican. During the week it’s a popular spot for city workers, but at the weekend it transforms into a great reception venue. Plenty of bar space, great room for a dance floor and an in-house kitchen. What more could you ask for?
