Shoreditch is at the hub of so much of the city’s action, meaning it is home to an abundance of great venues, both traditional and alternative, that make great spaces in which to hold a conference.
Here are some of our favourites out of the many unique conference venues in Shoreditch:
Made up of 2 railway arches that feature an abundance of character courtesy of the extensive exposed brickwork and arresting Victorian architecture that boldly shows off the venues 1860s beginnings, Kachette is a multi-purpose event space in a once defunct railway station. The passionate and experienced team are well versed in working with clients to bring bespoke events to fruition, assisting with everything from décor selection to technical production and catering options.
A showroom with an impressive 11,000 square feet of event space, The Yard is a spacious warehouse venue with an adjoining exterior courtyard that offers a total capacity of 420. Though there are characterful touches throughout, the vast floor-to-ceiling height and open feel make it something of a blank canvas too, allowing you the creative scope to kit out the space accordingly for your own conference. Shoreditch High Street and Liverpool Street stations can both be easily reached in about 5 minutes.
A turn-of-the-century warehouse renovated to transform it into a flexible events space, Village Underground is another offering that feels like a quintessential London venue, with brickwork, archways and the distinct arched ceilings that feature prominently in so many of the city’s historic spaces. Photographic exhibitions, theatre productions, club nights and concerts; they’ve been able to successfully turn their hand to a wide range of different events, and a conference would be no different.
A key player in the cultural landscape of East London, Shoreditch Town Hall is an arts venue with an eclectic catalogue of past events and non-traditional theatre to its name. With no less than 8 spaces to choose from which can be hired individually or in various configurations depending on the needs of your particular event, all are finished to the highest standard and boast stunning period features. The total capacity allows for up to 600 guests in all, and they are sure to make good use of the close proximity to the selection of nearby transport links.
Housed within converted Victorian archways, White Rabbit is another venue rich in the area’s cultural past, with exposed brickwork, arched ceilings and characterful touches once again present. Functioning primarily as a photographic studio, the 7000 square feet of space on offer has also been utilised for many different corporate occasions, including press events, business receptions and product launches, with a generous maximum capacity of 500 to make the most of.
