Top London venues that allow a full take-over
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Sometimes you want a venue that is fully kitted-out and ready to use, but sometimes it’s far better to be able to just take control, get stuck in yourself and transform the space into your dream setting. If that sounds like just the kind of thing you’re looking for then check out the following selection of great London venues that do indeed allow a full take-over.

Gallery House Soho

19 greek streetAs the name implies, Gallery House Soho is found in the ever-popular district of Soho itself, just a short walk from good transport links including Tottenham Court Road, Oxford Circus and Leicester Square. The venue is a Town House dating back to the Victorian era, spread across 6 floors. This flexible layout can either be hired in part or full, depending on the capacity you require, with space allowing for guest lists of up to 80 people. With particular appeal for events surrounding art, fashion, music, design and food, the impressive client list includes the likes of John Lewis, Dyptique and Wallpaper magazine.

Boxville

If you liked the idea of a raw, stripped-back style but need somewhere that offers a lot more in the way of actual floor space, then Boxville could be just what you’re looking for. This 1070s sport building was once abandoned but has been revitalised, now functioning as a multi-purpose event space, taking full advantage of the vast double ceiling height and large unobstructed areas. In fact, there is a whopping 51,000 square feet available in all at your disposal. Found in Lewisham, it’s just 5 minutes from the station of the same name should you need to utilise public transport.

Studio Spaces E1

Studio Spaces E1Studio Spaces E1 can be found on a quaint cobbled street just 10 minutes or so from the likes of Tower Hill, Shadwell and Wapping. There are 3 different studios available for hire in all – The Black Studio, The White Studio and Warehouse – all of which lead off from a central kitchen/lounge area, which in itself makes for some handy additional space. This generous layout makes the venue very flexible in its use, and what’s more, the various spaces add up to allow for a very good maximum capacity of more than 1200, making it ideal for larger scale gatherings.
