Camden is known for its great atmosphere and this makes it a hotbed for all kinds of parties. No matter the occasion, if you’re planning some kind of soiree of your own, there’s bound to be a venue that’s just right for you, with the following choices being some of the area’s more unique offerings to help your event stand out from the crowd.
The Princess was recently refurbished, re-establishing the venue’s reputation as a warm and friendly local that’s the ideal place to chill with friends in cosy surroundings and good-time vibes. Spaces on offer across the 3 floors include an elegant dining room on the first floor, a bar on the lower ground floor, the garden room and the Banksy beer garden, complete with a striking mural in the iconic artist’s signature style. Found in the beautiful Primrose Hill area, the venue is just a 5-minute walk from Chalk Farm tube stop.
Brilliantly designed with flexibility very much in mind, Proud Camden is a vast space with a total capacity of a whopping 1000, so you certainly needn’t hold back when it comes to writing the guest list! The exhibition space in the generous Main Gallery leads off onto 7 individual horse stables, each one having been uniquely transformed into a party space, including a soundproofed karaoke room for the brave amongst you. Other spaces on offer include the South Gallery, with its speakeasy inspired feel and full catering and entertainment options.
Gilgamesh London is another venue well suited to large-scale gatherings, thanks to its range of 5 very different event spaces to choose from, allowing for capacities of anywhere between 20 and 500. The inhouse events planners are more than happy to put together a bespoke experience, with everything from weddings to bar mitzvahs having been held here in the past. The richness of the surroundings with all its ornate detail creates an immersive quality, whilst the onsite parking and closeness to local transport links means it is easily reached.
Interchange Atrium Arches is the design of the much-celebrated Tom Dixon, having been specifically conceived to be a creatively rich and highly adaptable space that can be used for fashion shows and film shoots to weddings and Christmas parties, or anything else in between. Bold architectural choices, clean lines and good use of glass grant the venue a very contemporary feel. The total capacity is around 450 and the nearest rail links include Camden Town and Chalk Farm.
Though it does indeed have some unique design features that inject flashes of personality and uniqueness, Cob Studios is still neutral enough in its finish to serve as something of a blank canvas, white cube space. This leaves you the creative scope to transform it to suit your own specifications, creating a truly one-of-a-kind event. Benefitting from good natural lighting and open space, it feels bright and airy throughout, with a capacity of 180. As for getting there, Camden Road tube station is a mere stone’s throw away.
