Ideally located only 10 minutes away from Kings Cross St. Pancras and a short walk from Angel tube station, the BDC is one of London's most popular conference and exhibition venues. The dynamic and intimate venue showcases the architectural beauty of the former royal agricultural hall with its original ironwork, contemporary design and abundance of natural light.
All our spaces are blank canvas's which is how can host events ranging from technology, health & wellness, design, lifestyle, food & drink, career fairs and small meetings. Spaces available described below:
Mezzanine / Village Green: The original ironwork contemporary design of the venue gives the Mezzanine area an abundance of natural light, a 16 meter high barrel vaulted roof and a column-free space making it ideal for conferences, awards evenings, gala dinners and exhibitions. Included in the event hire, the venue offers a purpose built cloakroom and registration facilities along with a fully furnished organiser's office.
Gallery Hall / Atrium: this multi-purpose space can be used for an exhibition, conference, awards dinner or as space for catering for events taking place in the Conference Centre. The space is made up 840sqm of space with superb natural daylight along with purpose-built cloakroom and registration facilities at its entrance. Overlooking the Gallery Hall is the Atrium level which provides558sqm of additional spaces for a drinks reception or an overflow from the Gallery Hall level. The adjoining Conference Centre offers seven breakout rooms which aid smooth delegate flow between the plenary, catering and exhibition space. Included in the room hire is a dedicated registration desk and cloakroom area which allows the space to be used self-contained.
Rooms A, B, C, D, E and F: these are ideal spaces to use for breakout rooms or their own boardroom meetings, training events, and seminars. Each room seats between 60 – 180 theatre style which can be increased through the use of partition walls to fit your event specification. The rooms also seat between 30-90 cabaret each.
Auditorium: the Auditorium is an excellent choice for your conference, product launch or training event. There is plenty of space for an AV set and a self-powered rigging system (pre-installed lighting and sound equipment is available for hire). The space has 268 retractable tiered seats, hosting up to a total of 500 theatre style or alternatively 224 cabaret.
This space is perfect for a stand-alone conference, or being located in the middle of our conference centre, a conference with surrounding breakout rooms and large catering space.
Focus on our environmental impact has long been an important part of our operations at the BDC. Our first sustainability group came together in 2008, and we were certified as a CarbonNeutral® venue in 2010. Now we look to the future and are proud to have a plan that will see the venue reach Net-Zero before 2030.
