Home to one of the greatest art collections in the UK, and located just inside the Strand entrance to Somerset House, The Courtauld collection includes masterpieces by Manet, Degas, Monet, Van Gogh, Gauguin, and Cézanne, amongst other remarkable works from the middles ages to the present day. As well as being our neighbours, Somerset House is London’s working arts centre, home to the UK’s largest creative community and one of London’s best loved public spaces.
For the first time since The Courtauld's major refurbishment, guests are now able to hire both venues in a unique venue hire offer, giving guests unprecedented access to both sites for a private view and private dining experience.
Guests will start their evening in The Courtauld with drinks and a chance to explore the gallery’s remarkable third floor galleries, which includes highlights from our Impressionist and Post-Impressionist collection such as Manet’s A Bar at the Folies-Bergere nd Van Gogh’s Self-Portrait with Bandaged Ear. Specialist art talks, held by Courtauld Experts, can be organised on request, giving clients the opportunity to share The Courtauld's unrivaled collection and academic expertise with guests.
Guests will then walk across Somerset House’s iconic Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court to the Portico Rooms for a private dining experience. Guests have access to private balconies during the evening, showcasing the fantastic views back across The Courtauld and our sensational fountains from the north facing balcony and the sunset over the River Thames from the south facing balcony.
The Courtauld and Somerset House offer is available for 100 guests.
