The Space

Spread over the balcony and ground floor seating, our Main Hall retains its period features and is internationally renowned for its excellent acoustics.

With the maximum capacity of 400 people in theatre style seating, the room is perfect for meetings, conferences, launches, events, receptions, exams, recordings, rehearsals, dances, auditions, as well as exhibitions, concerts and talks or any functions requiring a large stage and floor area.

Seating and tables can be arranged in theatre, cabaret, exam, dinner and dance or book/art fair style.

The ground floor of the Main Hall is fully accessible by wheelchair users, however please note that the balcony level and stage aren't.

With our four HD cameras and state-of-the-art equipment, upgraded in August 2020, we can record or livestream your event to YouTube (or another platform). As well as concerts and performances, we can also host Hybrid physical/virtual events such as conferences (with in-person and remote delegates) and talks with Q&As.
